John Krasinski returns as the popular Tom Clancy character in Jack Ryan: Ghost War. An international incident looms and Ryan is the only man for the job. There’s just one problem: he initially turns down the proposal. Amazon MGM and Paramount have released the teaser trailer for Jack Ryan: Ghost War and it shows just how old habits can never die, with Ryan back in the field. The cast for the new action film also includes Wendell Pierce, Sienna Miller, Michael Kelly, Max Beesley, Douglas Hodge, JJ Feild and Betty Gabriel.

Top Secret

The Jack Ryan series came to a close in 2023 after four action-packed seasons. Although plot details for the movie are being kept under wraps, it will once again feature Krasinski as the titular CIA analyst. Miller will play an MI6 agent who is essentially Ryan’s British counterpart. Wendell Pierce (The Wire) and Michael Kelly (House of Cards) return as James Greer and Mike November, respectively. Andrew Bernstein, who served as an executive producer and director on Jack Ryan’s second season, will direct the movie from a screenplay by Aaron Rabin, who was a co-executive producer and writer on the final season, and Krasinski is also credited as a co-writer on this installment.

Amazon produced the movie in association with Paramount Skydance. Additionally, Krasinski and Allyson Seeger are producing via their Sunday Night production, and Andrew Form is also on board this project as a producer.

The Jack Ryan series

All four seasons of Jack Ryan were huge for Prime Video, with the show ranked as one of the top three most-watched series on the streaming service. Our own Alex Maidy was a big fan of the series, although he certainly wanted more by the time the final season came to a close. “I am still shocked this series ends as early as this, especially without a tighter ending to the story, but I am glad we got the four seasons we have,” Maidy wrote in his review. “John Krasinski has become the definitive Jack Ryan, even if he will always be overshadowed by Harrison Ford’s brilliant and far different take on the character. This series has accomplished something that two prior attempts to adapt this character failed to do. I hope that someday we will see more of this version of the franchise continue in one capacity or another.” I think we know who will be first in line to check out the movie when it’s released. With last night’s Oscars ceremony in the books, we can begin focusing on 2026 and all the wonders it has to offer. If you’re a Star Wars fan, you’re likely looking forward to Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord, the latest animated series to expand the Star Wars Universe with over-the-top action, intriguing lore, and new characters. Today, Disney+ debuted a trailer for the all-new animated series Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord, premiering on the mouse-eared streaming service on April 6, 2026.

Two episodes will premiere each week, with the final two airing on the ultimate Star Wars holiday, May the 4th. Set after the events of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, this pulpy adventure finds Maul plotting to rebuild his criminal syndicate on a planet untouched by the Empire. There, he crosses paths with a disillusioned young Jedi Padawan who could be the apprentice he is seeking to aid him in his relentless pursuit of revenge.

Feeling the Force

Okay, this is the trailer I’ve been waiting for! Previously, I wasn’t “feeling the force” for Maul – Shadow Lord, but today’s trailer genuinely has me excited for the upcoming animated series. The new trailer for Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord comes packed with non-stop action and intrigue, with Darth Maul given much more depth than I’ve seen in other Star Wars fare. Typically, I don’t care for the Clone Wars design, but there’s something about the lighting and flow of movement that’s working for me here. I also like the idea of Darth Maul going after the Empire, being neither a friend nor foe to those who wish to change the future’s fate.

Last year, it was revealed that Larry David would be joining forces with former President Barack Obama for a new HBO comedy series. At SXSW, David revealed the title, a clip, and premiere date for Life, Larry and the Pursuit of Unhappiness: An Almost History of America.

When Will the Series Premiere?

The series, which satirizes the United States of America in celebration of its 250th anniversary, is set to premiere on HBO on June 26. The seven episodes have been directed by Jeff Schaffer, with each one containing around four sketches. An ensemble of comedy stars joins David in the fun, including Curb Your Enthusiasm alumni Jeff Garlin, J.B. Smoove, and Susie Essman. Schaffer referred to the show as “Curb in costume.“

Other guest stars include Bill Hader and Kathryn Hahn, who will play Abraham Lincoln and Mary Todd Lincoln, Jon Hamm and Sean Hayes, who will play the Wright brothers and David and Jerry Seinfeld, who will play Lewis and Clark. Vince Vaughn will also guest star.

Barack and Michelle Obama produce through their production company, Higher Ground, and Barack will also appear in the series.

Life, Larry and the Pursuit of Unhappiness clip

The clip features David witnessing the famous V-J Day in Times Square photo, with a Navy sailor kissing a woman on the street. Deciding he’d like to give that a try, David searches for a random woman to kiss, but it doesn’t go as planned, and he’s quickly labelled a “pervo-Nazi” as the crowd descends upon him. Classic Larry.

In a statement when the series was first announced, the former President said, “I’ve sat across the table from some of the world’s most difficult leaders and wrestled with some of our most intractable problems. Nothing has prepared me for working with Larry David.“

I’ve been to a few nightmare weddings in my day, but nothing quite like this. On Friday, Netflix unveiled a new and disturbing trailer for Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen, a new horror series from Haley Z. Boston and the Duffer Brothers, of Stranger Things fame, of course. The new psychological horror series premieres on March 26, with all eight episodes dropping on the same day.

What Happens in the New Trailer?

In the new trailer for Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen, Rachel (Camila Morrone) and Nicky (Adam DiMarco) want to get married. However, instead of making it a big to-do, Nicky has the not-so-brilliant idea of hosting the celebration at his parents’ vacation cabin in the woods. It’s at the cabin where Rachel meets Nicky’s family, and things quickly take a turn for the invasive and terrifying. How do I put this? There’s something wrong with Nicky’s family. They’re creepy, have no concept of privacy, and if I didn’t know any better, I’d say there’s some strange occult s**t going on. Unfortunately for Rachel, she won’t have too much time to figure things out, because to survive the ordeal, she’ll need to reconsider her vows and get the hell out of dodge before she’s celebrating her future as a corpse bride.

Boston on Her Approach to Horror

Tudum recently spoke with Haley Z. Boston, the creator of the new series, about her unnerving approach to horror.

“I love horror. It’s natural to me, [it’s how] I process my own emotions and feelings and my own understanding of the world,” Boston told Tudum. “I think horror allows you to explore taboo feelings and take all of these fears and give them some bite.”

The show isn’t about jump scares. Instead, as Boston puts it, the tone is “unsettling, getting-under-your-skin dread,” mixed with character-driven storytelling. “I love to explore characters. I think sometimes that’s lacking in the horror genre,” she says. “My natural approach is from a place of character and dialogue and humor and then infusing that with unsettling horror … I’m like, ‘I want to be unsettled. I want to be freaked out.'”

Today, Hulu and Disney+ debuted the full trailer for Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair, a four-episode revival premiering on April 10, 2026, on Disney+ and Hulu in the U.S. and Disney+ internationally.

What’s the Reunion Special About?

After shielding himself and his daughter from his family for over a decade, Malcolm is dragged back into their orbit when Hal and Lois demand his presence at their 40th anniversary party.

The series reunites Bryan Cranston (Hal), Frankie Muniz (Malcolm), Jane Kaczmarek (Lois), Christopher Kennedy Masterson (Francis), Justin Berfield (Reese), and Emy Coligado (Piama). They’re joined by new cast members Keeley Karsten (Leah, Malcolm’s daughter), Vaughan Murrae (Kelly, Malcolm’s youngest sibling), Kiana Madeira (Tristan, Malcolm’s girlfriend), and Caleb Ellsworth-Clark (as Dewey).

What Happens in the New Trailer?

The trailer for Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair begins with a throwback gag of Lois taking a trimmer to Hal’s back while Dewey looks on in horror from a laptop screen. Before the camera cuts to more family-related hijinks, Lois takes the buzzer to Hal’s undercarriage, blowing away a tuft of hair before moving on to more of the patriarch’s unmentionables. As the trailer continues, Malcolm tells us what he’s been up to since he stopped talking to his family. He appears content, enthusiastic even. Still, when his family learns they’re invited to a family reunion, all heck breaks loose as Malcolm attempts to keep the people who drove him up the wall during adolescence from infringing on his well-earned happiness.

Muniz on His Return to Acting for the New Series

“Just wrapped filming the Malcolm in the Middle reboot, and man, I’m still reeling,” Muniz said about completing the series earlier this year. “This experience was straight-up incredible—like stepping back into Malcolm’s wild world but with all the love and chaos cranked to 11. Reuniting with the cast, getting to know some new characters, laughing till it hurt, and making new memories on set felt like a dream I didn’t want to wake up from. It went by so fast, like a blur of perfect moments. I wish it could go on forever.”

Muniz continued, “I’m so happy to have gotten the chance to relive being on this show with a greater appreciation of what we were making, knowing how many people around the world truly love Malcolm and his family. Another big thing I am taking away from this experience is how much I truly love being an actor. I never officially felt like that label fit me, but now I wear that label proudly and hope to do so much more of it in the future. I am so sad to have to say goodbye to my MITM crew, I love each and everyone of you.”

The actor added that he has “so many incredible pictures of all the cast” that he wanted to post, but Disney wouldn’t let him, “So imagine a picture of all us together, having the time of our lives!”

Netflix has released not just one, not two, but three teasers for The Hawk, because, according to the streamer, one teaser cannot contain him. You can check out the first teaser above. The official logline reads,

Quinnell. Today, Netflix released the official teaser and first look images for the upcoming action drama, Man on Fire. The series stars Emmy-winning Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as former elite mercenary John Creasy, alongside Billie Boullet, Bobby Cannavale, Alice Braga, and Scoot McNairy, and premieres globally on Netflix on April 30, 2026.

He’s also recently completed work on The Adventures of Cliff Booth, an offshoot of Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood…, starring Brad Pitt, Elizabeth Debicki, Timothy Olyphant, Carla Gugino, Emily Alyn Lind, Peter Weller, Holt McCallany, Scott Caan, and more. I remember loving Denzel Washington in Tony Scott’s Man on Fire, and can see Mateen II slipping into the role with ease. Written and created by John Griffin, From is described as a “contemporary sci-fi horror series”. The show aims to unravel the mystery of a nightmarish town in middle America that traps all those who enter. As the unwilling residents fight to keep a sense of normalcy and search for a way out, they must also survive the threats of the surrounding forest – including the terrifying creatures that come out when the sun goes down.

In Season Four, the closer the residents of town get to the answers they seek, the more terrifying their search becomes. Who is the Man in Yellow, and what does he want? In today’s brief Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 trailer, Matt Murdock dons his alter-ego’s fan-favorite black suit, a look harkening back to some of Daredevil’s most memorable storylines and missions. Last month, Charlie Cox spoke with Entertainment Weekly about the character dynamic between Jones and Murdock, saying, “Just by the nature of who Jessica is and who Matt is, they both give as much as they get. I’m not sure we were aware of it when we were shooting it. So we’ve been really waiting for this opportunity for so long now to put these two on screen together and have more fun with them.”

Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 continues Marvel‘s commitment to offering fans mature content while waiting for Spider-Man: Brand New Day to release in theaters on July 31, 2026. If you ask me, The Boys is going out with a bang as the ultra-violent superhero series approaches its final season. In a brand-new trailer for The Boys Season 5, Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, and Misha Collins reunite for the final round of episodes of Prime Video’s unrelenting superhero drama, The Boys.

What Happens in the New Trailer?

In the trailer, Homelander (Antony Starr) strives to become immortal by seeking V1, Vought’s first iteration of Compound V, the chemical that helped create the supers. To help get the job done, Homelander wakes his father, Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles), from cryogenic stasis. Together, Homelander and Soldier Boy encounter two characters played by Padalecki and Collins, though the nature of their roles remains elusive. Meanwhile, the Boys are in hot pursuit, with Billy Butcher using his tentacle-based powers to rip and shred his way to victory.

The Boys Season 5 takes place after the events of Gen V Season 2, with Homelander in a unique position to rule the world with an iron fist like an all-powerful dictator. With immorality on his mind and the Oval Office as a would-be new home, the Boys must use every last weapon in their arsenal to destroy Homelander before his ascension.

What’s The Boys Season 5 About?

Per the description for The Boys Season 5, “In the fifth and final season, it’s Homelander’s world, completely subject to his erratic, egomaniacal whims. Hughie, Mother’s Milk, and Frenchie are imprisoned in a ‘Freedom Camp.’ Annie struggles to mount a resistance against the overwhelming Supe force. Kimiko is nowhere to be found. But when Butcher reappears, ready and willing to use a virus that will wipe all Supes off the map, he sets in motion a chain of events that will forever change the world and everyone in it. It’s the climax, people. Big stuff’s gonna happen.”

What can you watch after The Boys ends?

If you’re upset about The Boys coming to an end, don’t be; there’s plenty of ultra-violent superhero action in the pipeline with the spinoff Gen V, the animated series The Boys Presents: Diabolical, the upcoming Jensen Ackles-led prequel Vought Rising, and a Mexico-set series still in the works.

Netflix has released the new trailer for the upcoming season 2 of Beef. Things are more complicated this time as Oscar Issac and Carey Mulligan are a couple who get entangled with Charles Melton and Cailee Spaeny for some extra-marital drama at an elite country club. The season will also star Seoyeon Jang, who is joined by Youn Yuh-jung, Song Kang-Ho, William Fichtner, Mikaela Hoover and the Congolese-native, British musician BM, whose stage name came from his real name Bolia Matundu.

Per THR, “Beef season two sees newly-engaged couple Ashley Miller (Cailee Spaeny) and Austin Davis (Charles Melton), both low-level staffers at a country club, ‘become entangled in the unraveling marriage of their general manager… and his wife.’ That would be Joshua Martín (Isaac) and Lindsay Crane-Martín (Mulligan), respectively.” The synopsis continues, “Through favors and coercion, both couples vie for the approval of the elitist club’s billionaire owner, Chairwoman Park (Youn Yuh-jung), who struggles to manage her own scandal involving her second husband, Doctor Kim (Song Kang-ho).” 

The hit Netflix series was created by Lee Sung Jin, who also serves as showrunner and executive produces the anthology-style show along with season one stars Steven Yeun and Ali Wong and season two stars Mulligan, Isaac, Melton and Spaeny. Director Jake Schreier, Anna Moench, Kitao Sakurai and Ethan Kuperberg are also on board as the credited producers of the season.

The first season of Beef followed “the aftermath of a road rage incident between two strangers. Danny Cho (Steven Yeun), a failing contractor with a chip on his shoulder, goes head-to-head with Amy Lau (Ali Wong), a self-made entrepreneur with a picturesque life. The increasing stakes of their feud unravel their lives and relationships in this darkly comedic and deeply moving series.” The critically-acclaimed series picked up plenty of awards over the last year, including eight wins at the Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series, Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for Yeun, and Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for Wong.

All of the eight episodes of Beef season two will be launching on April 16, 2026 on Netflix.

The Handmaid’s Tale may have ended, but June’s legacy continues in the Hulu sequel series The Testaments. Let the soundtrack of The Cranberries’ “Dreams” both soothe and haunt you in this new trailer, passed along by The Hollywood Reporter. Chase Infiniti follows up her much-praised performance in One Battle After Another with a lead role in The Testaments. Infiniti is joined by The Handmaid’s Tale‘s Emmy-winning star Ann Dowd, reprising her role of Aunt Lydia, as well as an ensemble cast that includes Lucy Halliday, Mabel Li, Amy Seimetz, Brad Alexander, Rowan Blanchard, Mattea Conforti, Zarrin Darnell-Martin, Eva Foote, Isolde Ardies, Shechinah Mpumlwana, Birva Pandya and Kira Guloien.

The official synopsis reads,
“An evolution of The Handmaid’s Tale, The Testaments is based on Margaret Atwood’s novel of the same name and is a dramatic coming-of-age story set in Gilead. The series follows young teens Agnes, dutiful and pious, and Daisy, a new arrival and convert from beyond Gilead’s borders. As they navigate the gilded halls of Aunt Lydia’s elite preparatory school for future wives, a place where obedience is instilled brutally and always with divine justification, their bond becomes the catalyst that will upend their past, their present, and their future.”

Per THR, The Testaments is adapted from Atwood’s sequel novel of the same name and comes from the showrunner and executive producers of The Handmaid’s Tale series. The show from MGM Television and 20th Television sequel series was created by showrunner/executive producer Bruce Miller and is executive produced by Warren Littlefield, Handmaid’s Tale star Elizabeth Moss, Steve Stark, Shana Stein, Maya Goldsmith, John Weber, Sheila Hockin, Daniel Wilson, Fran Sears and Mike Barker, the latter who will also direct the first three episodes and finale.

Warren Littlefield explained a bit about the show to THR, “They have never known a world that didn’t have Gilead in it. So it’s not all ugly. As Margaret wrote in the book, the school that educates these young women is Lydia’s school. So we proudly embrace Ann Dowd to carry us forward and she is a very important rudder from one universe into the next.” Miller chimed in, “You get adolescent wives. It’s the dynamic between girls of a certain age who are as worry-free as you can be in Gilead — with this huge sword, a marriage of Damocles, hanging over their heads.”

The Testaments is set to have ten episodes and will debut April 8 with the first three episodes, then will release new episodes weekly on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers.

A new look at The Miniature Wife

After the Honey, I Shrunk the Kids franchise, one would think they would have that concept cornered. Along comes The Miniature Wife from Peacock. While it looks like the series is likely to capitalize on its plot more than Alexander Payne’s Downsizing did, one can’t help but make comparisons to the Disney classic starring Rick Moranis. However, this is sure to be as good, if not better than the Family Matters episode where Steve Urkel and Carl Winslow accidentally get shrunk down in the Winslow’s kitchen.

The short of it

Based on a short story written by Manuel Gonzales, The Miniature Wife examines the power (im)balances between spouses after a technological accident induces the ultimate relationship crisis. The series comes from Jennifer Ames (Boardwalk Empire) and Steve Turner (Deadwood).

Elizabeth Banks (The Hunger Games) stars as Lindy, the miniaturized wife, with Matthew Macfadyen (Deadpool & Wolverine) as her husband, Les. The series also stars O-T Fagbenle (The Handmaid’s Tale), Zoe Lister-Jones (Life in Pieces), Sian Clifford (Fleabag), and Sofia Rosinsky (Paper Girls). Ronny Chieng (Crazy Rich Asians), Aasif Mandvi (Evil), Rong Fu (Star Trek: Strange New Worlds), and Tricia Black (Small Achievable Goals) appear in recurring roles.

Banks and Macfadyen also serve as executive producers on the series, alongside Michael Aguilar, Suzanne Heathcote and Michael Ellenberg and Lindsey Springer for Media Res.

All ten episodes of The Miniature Wife will debut on Peacock on April 9.

Honey, I Shrunk the Kids

When people think of shrinking stories in movies or television, the first title that usually comes to mind is Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, the beloved sci-fi comedy starring Rick Moranis as a well-meaning but perpetually frazzled inventor who accidentally shrinks his own children. The film became a surprise hit, spawning multiple sequels, a television series, and even theme-park attractions—and for years, Hollywood has been trying to bring the concept back to the big screen.

At one point, that revival looked like it was actually going to happen. Josh Gad was set to star as the son of Moranis’ character, following in his father’s footsteps by accidentally shrinking his own kids in a scientific mishap. Original director Joe Johnston was attached to return, and—most excitingly—Rick Moranis had agreed to come out of retirement to reprise his iconic role. The film, titled Shrunk, was nearing production… until the pandemic brought the project to a sudden halt.

“We were inches from starting and then COVID hit,” Gad explained several years ago, “inches from starting again & then my schedule exploded with conflicts, inches from starting again & budget got the best of us.“

What’s House of David About?

The first season of House of David was a monumental success, with 40 million viewers worldwide. Today’s trailer for House of David Season 2 finds David making history on the battlefield as the House of Saul welcomes the young warrior into its kingdom with open arms. Still, as David’s training continues, the process of molding him into a formidable warrior for the people and his destiny as king of Israel persists. Once King Saul learns of David’s fate, the jealous ruler turns on the young leader and frames him for acts he did not commit. With David’s integrity and loyalty in question, David must flee, regroup, and devise a new plan to carry out God’s will.

As far as biblical epics go, it’s challenging to find a story as action-packed and inspiring as David’s. Having recently reviewed David from Angel Studios, I’m pretty familiar with David’s tales of bravery and determination to lead his people toward better times. For my money, Prime Video’s House of David looks like a gritty, action-packed retelling of David’s timeless tale, and I am here for it.

Jane Austen’s timeless story has spawned dozens of film and television adaptations. Netflix is attempting to transfer the book to their service faithfully in a new six-part limited series from writer Dolly Alderton (Everything I Know About Love) and director by Euros Lyn (Heartstopper). Although no specific release has yet to be set, Pride and Prejudice is scheduled to debut on the streamer sometime in Autumn of 2026. However, Netflix has just dropped the atmospheric teaser trailer for the limited series online, with its soundtrack dominated by nature sounds and birds chirping, along with a music tease.

Taylor Sheridan has a penchant for incorporating human drama into crime thrillers. His new show for Paramount+ continues his streak of putting out series with a stellar cast, but the new trailer showcases a more emotional fare from him. Michelle Pfeiffer stars in Sheridan’s new series with Kurt Russell. The six-episode debut season is set to premiere globally on Saturday, March 14, with three episodes exclusively on the service. The final three episodes will premiere the following week on Saturday, March 21. 

The Show

According to Paramount+, The Madison is Taylor Sheridan’s most intimate work to date, unfolding across two distinct worlds – the beautiful landscape of Montana and the vibrant energy of Manhattan – as it examines the ties that bind families together. Paramount continues to talk up the new series, calling The Madison “a profound love story channeled through a deeply personal family drama about resilience and transformation.”

The Madison, focusing on the Clyburns, is a six-episode series and a heartfelt study of grief and human connection following a New York City family in the Madison River valley of central Montana. In addition to Pfeiffer and Russell, the series stars Beau Garrett (Firefly Lane), Elle Chapman (A Man Called Otto), Patrick J. Adams (Suits), Amiah Miller (War for the Planet of the Apes), Alaina Pollack (The Surrender), Ben Schnetzer (3 Body Problem), Kevin Zegers (Power), Rebecca Spence (Lady in the Lake), Danielle Vasinova (1923), Matthew Fox (Lost) and Will Arnett (Is This Thing On?).

The new Taylor Sheridan series is produced by Paramount Television Studios, 101 Studios and Bosque Ranch Productions and is executive produced by Sheridan, David C. Glasser, John Linson, Art Linson, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Christina Alexandra Voros, Michael Friedman, Michelle Pfeiffer, Kurt Russell and Keith Cox. Voros directs all six episodes of the debut season.

Paramount additionally has already confirmed in the press release that The Madison will return for a second season, but a date has not yet been established.

It’s war! HBO has dropped a new teaser trailer for House of the Dragon season 3. There’s plenty of dragon action as the divided factions of House Targaryen face off against one another. The season features a massive battle sequence that was originally slated for the second season but was bumped after the second season’s episode count was reduced to eight. When Will House of the Dragon season 3 Debut?

House of the Dragon season 3 still doesn’t have an exact release date, but the teaser trailer confirms the new season will debut in June.

House of the Dragon Season 4 will be the Final Season

HBO Chief Casey Bloys recently confirmed that House of the Dragon will conclude with season 4. “Yes, that is the idea,” he said. “The idea has always been to follow the history of the Targaryens. If you know the books, you know how the Targaryens end up. So there is a natural end to this particular history of that House of the Targaryens.“

Bloys isn’t sure how many episodes will be included in the final season. “Ryan is working, like any show like this; he is finishing post on Season 3 and working with the writers on what Season 4 looks like,” he said. “I don’t know where he’s landed on the episode count yet.“

What About George R.R. Martin?

A Song of Ice and Fire author George R.R. Martin has been very candid with his thoughts about House of the Dragon, and even recently said that his relationship with Condal has been “abysmal.” When asked to describe the network’s current relationship with Martin, Bloys said, “Like any good American family, I would prefer that our dysfunction stays behind closed doors. But here we are. What I would say is George introduced us to Ryan as the person that he thought would be the best to create House the Dragon. And I will say Ryan has been an excellent showrunner and a really great partner and collaborator, so we embrace his vision and his creative choices, or we wouldn’t have done it.“

Martin has been much more complimentary about A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, which will wrap up its first season this weekend.

ABC dropped a brand-new trailer for its Scrubs revival series on Wednesday, giving fans a taste of the comedy and drama to come. Set for a February 25, 2026, debut with two back-to-back episodes, the Scrubs revival finds Dr. JD Dorian (Zach Braff), Dr. Christopher Turk (Donald Faison), Dr. Elliott Reid (Sarah Chalke), Dr. Perry Cox (John C. McGinley), and Nurse Carla Espinosa (Judy Reyes) returning to pass the torch to a group of up-and-coming medical professionals.

What’s the Scrubs revival about?

The official logline for the Scrubs revival series states: “JD (Braff) & Turk (Faison) scrub in together for the first time in a long time- medicine has changed, interns have changed, but their bromance has stood the test of time. Characters new and old navigate the waters of Sacred Heart with laughter, heart and some surprises along the way.” Series creator Bill Lawrence added, “Scrubs means so very much to me. So excited for the chance to get the band back together.”

Same cast, new tricks

In the new trailer for ABC’s Scrubs revival series, the Sacred Heart gang is up to their old tricks of taking the piss out of one another, being mildly insensitive to other staff members, and saving lives one mood-shifting crisis at a time. While the trailer features plenty of callbacks to old jokes, playful sniping between characters, and ignoring of HR violations, the promo also spotlights the show’s ability to change the vibe on a dime and introduce genuine drama to the comedic mix. I’ve always found Scrubs at its best when opting for semi-seriousness to counterbalance the comedy, and that is what the revival is striving for.

Bill Lawrence on Scrubs‘ triumphant return

Bill Lawrence teased what the reboot could look like late last year. “With the creative side, the show’s not going to pick up a day later. It can’t. I’m interested in where these characters are, that many years later,” Lawrence said. “I always remember the finale of Scrubs, in Season 8, with J.D. saying he has a dream of how things would go and, ‘Tell me my fantasies won’t come true, just this once.’ I never said that’s what happened. I’m interested, not only creatively, in where they’d be now and who they are, but also under the umbrella of what’s happened to the medical world and how that looks now. And one step past that, I love stories where the students become the teachers, and that would be what has to happen in this type of world.”

For thirty-five years, author Patricia Cornwell has been writing crime novels about a medical examiner named Kay Scarpetta. So far, there are twenty-nine books that center on this character – so there was plenty of source material for Liz Sarnoff to pull from when she set out to develop the TV series Scarpetta for the Prime Video streaming service. The show is set to premiere on March 11, 2026, exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide – and with that date exactly one month away, a trailer has dropped online! Cast and Producers

Nicole Kidman takes on the role of Kay Scarpetta, with Jamie Lee Curtis playing her older sister Dorothy. Also in the cast are Bobby Cannavale as Detective Pete Marino, Simon Baker as FBI profiler Benton Wesley, and Ariana DeBose as Kay’s tech-savvy niece Lucy Watson, with Rosy McEwen, Amanda Righetti, Jake Cannavale, and Hunter Parrish as past versions of Kidman, Curtis, Cannavale, and Baker’s characters, respectively.

Curtis is executive producing the series through her company Comet Pictures, while Kidman and Per Saari do the same for Kidman’s Blossom Films. Other executive producers on the show include Cornwell (through P&S Projects), Sarnoff (through Sarnoff TV) and Blumhouse‘s Jason Blum, Chris McCumber, Jeremy Gold, and Chris Dickie.

This show came out of Curtis’s first-look deal with Blumhouse and her relationship with Cornwell. Curtis is a big fan of Cornwell’s work and regularly moderates conversations with Cornwell, who is, Deadline notes, famously protective of her creations. The series is produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Blumhouse Television in association with Blossom Films, Comet Pictures, and P&S Projects.

The story unfolds across two timelines. This dual narrative explores Kay Scarpetta’s journey from her beginnings as a Chief Medical Examiner in the late ’90s to her present-day return to her hometown, where she resumes her former position while investigating a grisly murder. As Scarpetta pursues justice, she must navigate complicated relationships, including the fraught dynamic with her sister Dorothy Farinelli (Jamie Lee Curtis), confront long-held professional and personal grudges, and face secrets that threaten to unravel everything she’s built.

Previously, Netflix released a teaser for One Piece: Into the Grand Line that featured the rise of the Baroques. The new villains include Charithra Chandran, who will play Miss Wednesday; Lera Abova, who will play Miss All-Sunday; David Dastmalchian , who will play Mr. 3; Camrus Johnson, who will play Mr. 5; Jazzara Jaslyn, who will play Miss Valentine; Daniel Lasker, who will play Mr. 9; and Sophia Anne Caruso, who will play Miss Goldenweek. Today, Netflix released a full trailer that showcases the entire grand adventure. So, strap in for the high seas!

The official synopsis reads,
“Netflix’s epic high-seas pirate adventure, ONE PIECE, returns for Season 2—unleashing fiercer adversaries and the most perilous quests yet. Luffy and the Straw Hats set sail for the extraordinary Grand Line—a legendary stretch of sea where danger and wonder await at every turn. As they journey through this unpredictable realm in search of the world’s greatest treasure, they’ll encounter bizarre islands and a host of formidable new enemies. ONE PIECE is a live action pirate adventure created in partnership with Shueisha and produced by Tomorrow Studios (an ITV Studios partner) and Netflix.”

News of season 3 had already been announced with Cobra Kai‘s Xolo Maridueña announced to be added as the character, “Portgas D. Ace.” Season three will also see series writer Ian Stokes – who penned “The Man in the Straw Hat” and co-wrote “The Girl with the Sawfish Tattoo” – joining Joe Tracz as showrunner. Stokes is co-writing the season two debut, “The Beginning and the End”, with Matt Owens, who developed the series alongside Steve Maedea. Joe Tracz & Ian Stokes will be the executive producers, writers and showrunners of the third season, while Eiichiro Oda, Marty Adelstein and Becky Clements through Tomorrow Studios, Tetsu Fujimura, Chris Symes, Christoph Schrewe and Steven Maeda are on board as executive producers.

Netflix’s live-action version of One Piece premiered on the streaming platform in August 2023 to rave reviews from both fans and critics. Many praised the show’s spirited performances, while others noted the faithfulness to the source material. The show received a Season 2 renewal just two weeks into its Season 1 premiere, with filming scheduled for June 2024.

Based on Japan’s highest-selling manga series in history by Eiichiro Oda, ONE PIECE is a legendary high-seas adventure unlike any other. Monkey D. Luffy is a young adventurer who has longed for a life of freedom since he can remember. Luffy sets off from his small village on a perilous journey to find the legendary fabled treasure, ONE PIECE, to become King of the Pirates! Imagine waking up one day to discover you’re only six inches tall. That’s exactly what happens to Elizabeth Banks in the teaser trailer for The Miniature Wife, a new dramedy series headed to Peacock. Suddenly, everyday problems—and her marriage—become a lot more complicated.

What’s The Miniature Wife About?

Based on a short story written by Manuel Gonzales, The Miniature Wife examines the power (im)balances between spouses after a technological accident induces the ultimate relationship crisis. The series comes from Jennifer Ames (Boardwalk Empire) and Steve Turner (Deadwood).

Elizabeth Banks (The Hunger Games) stars as Lindy, the miniaturized wife, with Matthew Macfadyen (Deadpool & Wolverine) as her husband, Les. The series also stars O-T Fagbenle (The Handmaid’s Tale), Zoe Lister-Jones (Life in Pieces), Sian Clifford (Fleabag), and Sofia Rosinsky (Paper Girls). Ronny Chieng (Crazy Rich Asians), Aasif Mandvi (Evil), Rong Fu (Star Trek: Strange New Worlds), and Tricia Black (Small Achievable Goals) appear in recurring roles.

Banks and Macfadyen also serve as executive producers on the series, alongside Michael Aguilar, Suzanne Heathcote and Michael Ellenberg and Lindsey Springer for Media Res.

All ten episodes of The Miniature Wife will debut on Peacock on April 9.

Honey, I Shrunk the Kids

When people think of shrinking stories in movies or television, the first title that usually comes to mind is Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, the beloved sci-fi comedy starring Rick Moranis as a well-meaning but perpetually frazzled inventor who accidentally shrinks his own children. The film became a surprise hit, spawning multiple sequels, a television series, and even theme-park attractions—and for years, Hollywood has been trying to bring the concept back to the big screen.

At one point, that revival looked like it was actually going to happen. Josh Gad was set to star as the son of Moranis’ character, following in his father’s footsteps by accidentally shrinking his own kids in a scientific mishap. Original director Joe Johnston was attached to return, and—most excitingly—Rick Moranis had agreed to come out of retirement to reprise his iconic role. The film, titled Shrunk, was nearing production… until the pandemic brought the project to a sudden halt.

“We were inches from starting and then COVID hit,” Gad explained several years ago, “inches from starting again & then my schedule exploded with conflicts, inches from starting again & budget got the best of us.“

Anyone with children knows you’ll do just about anything to protect them, even if it’s from themselves. There’s no price too high for their protection. Ain’t no mountain high enough that would prevent you from leaping in to save the day. In HBO‘s trailer for Rooster, Steve Carell plays a best-selling author who comes to the college where his daughter (Charly Clive) teaches because she’s going through a crisis after her husband (Phil Dunster) “left me for a grad student,” as she and everyone else on campus put it. The college’s head (John C. McGinley) is willing to let him stay, though the terms of his occupation remain unclear. While traversing the college, trying to right wrongs, Carell’s character, dubbed “Rooster” by the students, begins making friends and forming unlikely bonds as he hopes to rescue his daughter from emotional distress.

Why is Carell’s character called “Rooster?” According to the trailer, it’s the name of the lead character from his best-selling books. The students figure that if Carell’s character wants to shake things up, he needs to become more like “Rooster” to get the job done.

When does Rooster premiere on Netflix?

HBO’s Rooster premieres on March 8.

In addition to Carell, McGinley, Dunster, and Clive, the Rooster cast includes Danielle Deadwyler, Lauren Tsai, Connie Britton, Robby Hoffman, Annie Mumolo, Alan Ruck, and Rory Scovel.

What is Steve Carell’s Mountainhead?

Steve Carell’s latest film, Mountainhead, premiered on HBO Max in May. In Mountainhead, “a group of billionaire friends get together against the backdrop of a rolling international crisis.”

The group of billionaire friends is tech executives Randall (Steve Carell of The Office), Hugo Van Yalk, a.k.a. Souper (Jason Schwartzman of Rushmore), Venis (Cory Michael Smith of Saturday Night), and Jeff (Ramy Youssef of Poor Things). Also in the cast are Hadley Robinson (Anyone But You), Andy Daly (Semi-Pro), Ali Kinkade (Lessons in Chemistry), Daniel Oreskes (Law & Order: Organized Crime), David Thompson (It’s What’s Inside), Amie MacKenzie (Publish or Perish), and Ava Kostia (Romance on the Ranch).

After enjoying the second season of A Man on the Inside, starring Ted Danson, which finds a retired man, Charles, investigating shenanigans at a college campus, I’m more than game for watching Steve Carell in Rooster. There’s something special about a college campus setting that lends itself to outrageous comedy, and I think Carell could become a real shit-disturber while trying to fix his daughter’s marriage.

Kevin Kline (A Fish Called Wanda, Fierce Creatures, Bob’s Burgers) and Jon Tenney (The Closer, Scandal) need to make room on the stage for Laura Linney (Ozark, The Mothman Prophecies, You Can Count on Me) as she joins the cast of MGM+’s upcoming eight-episode series American Classic. Michael Hoffman (Soapdish, Restoration, The Last Station) and Bob Martin (The Prom, Slings and Arrows) co-created American Classic, with Hoffman directing the series focusing on a narcissistic Broadway star looking to bring his old stomping grounds back to form.

“American Classic tells the story of Broadway star Richard Bean who suffers a spectacular public meltdown and returns home to the family theater where he first became aware of his own brilliance.Once there, his extreme behavior sets off a series of crises among those closest to him: his ex-girlfriend (now the town’s mayor) married to his brother, his brother himself, and his beloved niece who dreams of a life in the theater. The series is from Fifth Season with Mar-Key Pictures and Likely Story producing and Anonymous Content. Laura Linney plays Kristen Forrest Bean in American Classic, “who grew up acting in the Millersburg Festival Theater founded and run by the Bean family,” per the character description. “Kristen fell in love with Richard Bean at age 19 and ran off with him to try to make it in NY. Once there, Richard’s egotism served him better than Kristen’s quiet intensity and it was his career that took off. Kristen became increasingly frustrated and finally packed up and went home to Millersburg – Where she eventually married Richard’s younger brother, Jon, and had their daughter Miranda. As the recently appointed Mayor of Millersburg, Kristen directs her passion as well as her strong practical side toward helping to keep the family theater alive.”

American Classic opens the curtains on March 1 on MGM+.

Guy Ritchie returns to the world of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s famous detective with an eye for detail. Prime Video has just released the new trailer for Young Sherlock — a reimagining of the character in his adult formative years. Inspired by Andy Lane’s Young Sherlock Holmes novels, the Prime Video series will be “an irreverent, action-packed origin story of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s beloved detective in an explosive re-imagining of this iconic character. At age 19, Sherlock Holmes is disgraced, raw, unfiltered, and unformed, when he finds himself caught up in a murder mystery at Oxford University which threatens his freedom. Diving into his first-ever case with a wild lack of discipline, Sherlock manages to unravel a globe-trotting conspiracy that will change his life forever.“

Guy Ritchie executive produces the project and directed all eight episodes. “In Young Sherlock we’re going to see an exhilarating new version of the detective everyone thinks they know in a way they’ve never imagined before,” Ritchie said in a statement. “We’re going to crack open this enigmatic character, find out what makes him tick, and learn how he becomes the genius we all love.”

The press release reads,
“When a charismatic, youthfully defiant Sherlock Holmes meets none other than James Moriarty, he finds himself dragged into a murder investigation that threatens his liberty. Sherlock’s first ever case unravels a globe-trotting conspiracy, leading to an explosive showdown that alters the course of his life forever. Hero Fiennes Tiffin (After series) fills in the slueth-y shoes of Sherlock Holmes, while the rest of the cast includes Dónal Finn (The Wheel of Time), Zine Tseng (3 Body Problem), Joseph Fiennes (The Handmaid’s Tale), Natascha McElhone (Halo), Max Irons (Condor) and Colin Firth (The King’s Speech). Guy Ritchie directs the first two episodes and executive produces. The series is created for television and executive produced by showrunner Matthew Parkhill with executive producers Dhana Rivera Gilbert, Marc Resteghini, Simon Maxwell, Ivan Atkinson, Simon Kelton, Colin Wilson, and co-executive producers Harriet Creelman and Steve Thompson. Motive Pictures led physical production for Young Sherlock.

All eight episodes of the series are scheduled to premiere on March 4 on Prime Video.

Written and created by John Griffin, From is described as a “contemporary sci-fi horror series”. The show aims to unravel the mystery of a nightmarish town in middle America that traps all those who enter. As the unwilling residents fight to keep a sense of normalcy and search for a way out, they must also survive the threats of the surrounding forest – including the terrifying creatures that come out when the sun goes down.

The cast of From includes Catalina Sandino Moreno and Eion Bailey as married couple Jim and Tabitha Matthews, who are “struggling in the aftermath of a personal tragedy and suddenly find their family trapped in the town. The first season of Legendary’s MonsterVerse TV series Monarch: Legacy of Monsters ran on Apple TV+ from November 2023 into January 2024 (you can read our own Alex Maidy’s review of the first batch of episodes HERE), and while Godzilla was an important figure in that season, it wrapped up with an episode that indicated Kong might be taking the spotlight if there were to be a follow-up. A few months after the season finale, it was confirmed that Monarch: Legacy of Monsters season 2 was a sure thing, then filming began in November of 2024. The premiere is set for February 27, 2026 – and with that date swiftly approaching, a very cool trailer has dropped online! Monarch: Legacy of Monsters is the latest chapter in Legendary Entertainment’s MonsterVerse series, which currently consists of Godzilla, Kong: Skull Island, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Godzilla vs. Kong, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, and the Netflix animated series Skull Island.

The ten episode first season was set after “the thunderous battle between Godzilla and the Titans that leveled San Francisco and the shocking revelation that monsters are real” (as seen in Godzilla 2014). It tracks two siblings following in their father’s footsteps to uncover their family’s connection to the secretive organization known as Monarch. Clues lead them into the world of monsters and ultimately down the rabbit hole to Army officer Lee Shaw, taking place in the 1950s and half a century later where Monarch is threatened by what Shaw knows. The dramatic saga – spanning three generations – reveals buried secrets and the ways that epic, earth-shattering events can reverberate through our lives. The cast includes Anna Sawai, Kurt Russell, Wyatt Russell, Kiersey Clemons, Ren Watabe, Mari Yamamoto, Anders Holm, Joe Tippett, and Elisa Lasowski. Season 2 brings the addition of Prey star Amber Midthunder.

Season 2 will also consist of ten episodes. It will pick up with the fate of Monarch — and the world — hanging in the balance. The dramatic saga reveals buried secrets that reunite our heroes (and villains) on Kong’s Skull Island, and a new, mysterious village where a mythical Titan rises from the sea. The ripple effects of the past make waves in the present day, blurring the bonds between family, friend and foe — all with the threat of a Titan event on the horizon.

Monarch: Legacy of Monsters comes our way from Legendary Television. Matt Shakman (WandaVision) directed the first two episodes. Black, Fraction, and Shakman executive produce the series with Joby Harold and Tory Tunnell from Safehouse Pictures, as well as Andy Goddard, Brad Van Arragon, and Andrew Colville. Hiro Matsuoka and Takemasa Arita executive produce on behalf of Toho Co., Ltd., the owner of the Godzilla character.

The Joe Dante classic that’s not Gremlins is getting a TV reimagining courtesy of Peacock. The full trailer for The ‘Burbs dropped nearly a month ago and the streamer continues the promotion just before its premiere. This time, the show released a Super Bowl TV spot that has Dateline‘s iconic crime show host, Keith Morrison, do what he does best. There’s even kind of a reference to Bill Hader’s impression as Morrison buckles down with a snack for the show. The eight episodes will be available to watch on Peacock as of Sunday, February 8.

Meet the neighbors

Keke Palmer (Nope) stars in and executive produces the series and is joined in the cast by Jack Whitehall (Jungle Cruise), Julia Duffy (Newhart), Paula Pell (Girls5eva), Mark Proksch (What We Do In The Shadows), Kapil Talwalkar (Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist), Haley Joel Osment (Tusk), RJ Cyler (The Harder They Fall), Justin Kirk (Weeds), Kyrie McAlpin (Cheaper by the Dozen), Danielle Kennedy (Man on the Inside), and Randy Oglesby (For All Mankind).

Celeste Hughey (Palm Royale, Dead to Me) is writing and executive producing the series. Set in present-day suburbia, The ‘Burbs follows a young couple, with Palmer playing the wife, returning to the husband’s (Whitehall) childhood home. Their world is upended when new neighbors move in next door, bringing old secrets of the cul-de-sac to light, and new deadly threats shatter the illusion of their quiet little neighborhood.

In addition to Palmer and Hughey, executive producers on the show include Brian Grazer, Kristen Zolner, and Natalie Berkus for Imagine Entertainment, Seth MacFarlane, Erica Huggins, and Aimee Carlson for Fuzzy Door, and Rachel Shukert. Dana Olsen, the writer of the 1989 film, Amy Aniobi, Zora Bikangaga, and Neil Reynolds serve as co-executive producers. Nzingha Stewart (Daisy Jones & The Six) directed the first episode and is another executive producer. UCP, a division of Universal Studio Group, is the studio behind the series.

Filming took place in Los Angeles at the same location as the original film, the backlot of Universal Studios Hollywood.

The original The ‘Burbs was directed by Joe Dante. When asked for his reaction to the TV series announcement, Dante said, “I think my actual comment was, ‘How are they going to make a whole TV series out of that story?’ As opposed to, ‘I want to be the one to do it. ’Good luck to them. It’s kind a one-off story…It’s always nice when things have a shelf life.“

Legendary rap artist Dr. Dre once said, “As hard as you work for your money, there are many people working just as hard to take it from you.” You can’t help but get that sense when you see the new trailer for season 2 of Apple’s hit show Your Friends & Neighbors. Jon Hamm returns and, although he’s resorted to stealing for his money, James Marsden‘s new character looks to be throwing a wrench in Hamm’s working machine. Amanda Peet, Olivia Munn, Hoon Lee, Mark Tallman, Lena Hall, Aimee Carrero, Eunice Bae, Isabel Gravitt and Donovan Colan also return for this new season.

Your Friends & Neighbors debuted on Apple TV almost a year ago, but before it premiered, the streamer already gave the series a greenlight on season 2. Season 2 premieres on Friday, April 3 and, according to Deadline, Apple TV, once again, preemptively orders new episodes for a season 3. The show

Created by Jonathan Tropper, Your Friends & Neighbors revolves around Andrew ‘Coop’ Cooper (Hamm), “a hedge fund manager still grappling with his recent divorce who resorts to stealing from the homes of his neighbors in the exceedingly affluent Westmont Village, only to discover that the secrets and affairs hidden behind those wealthy facades might be more dangerous than he ever imagined.” Marsden is believed to be playing a guy who comes from money and has a relationship with Munn’s character.

Our own Alex Maidy enjoyed the first season quite a bit. “Your Friends and Neighbors is a solid series about rich people being assholes and one of their own taking them to task without them even realizing it. This series is a showcase of what Jon Hamm does best,” Maidy wrote. “Jonathan Tropper has taken his excellent ability to create layered characters and put them into a show that is sad, funny, intriguing, and impossible to dislike. He does so without needing battle sequences, gunfights, or post-apocalyptic warriors. He does include a fair amount of sex, something that Your Friends and Neighbors use to great effect. Even if you don’t like this series as much as I did, I have a feeling you will learn something about the retail prices of luxury goods in a way you would never expect.” You can check out the rest of his review on season one right here.
